Angair has bestowed honorary life memberships on two longtime stalwarts of the society. They are Gail Slykhuis and Lynn Wallace-Clancy.
Unfortunately, Lynn was unable to receive her award personally at the Annual General Meeting because of ill health. The official presentation and details of her contribution will be held at the Angair lunch later in the year. ‘That’s something to look forward to,’ she said.
Gail’s award was given because of her maintenance of the highest standards of botanical accuracy during her years spent organising the monthly Plant Studies sessions, compiling and updating Angair plant lists and publications such as Flowers of Anglesea & Aireys Inlet 2nd edition, conducting Angair Walks and educating members about the area’s richness of flora and fauna.
