Junior artists from the Anglesea and Airey’s Inlet Primary Schools will be eligible for awards for their work on display at the 2024 Wildflower and Arts Weekend. The awards, the details of which are being finalised, will be granted to honour the memory of Margaret Howden who died early last month.

The Committee of Management recorded its sadness at Margaret’s death at its July meeting. The committee said she had been ‘a significant contributor to the work of Angair, particularly to the Education Committee … and brought grace, common sense, enthusiasm and a ready smile to everything she did’.
Margaret had retired from the Management Committee in June but retained her spot on the Education Committee of which she was an inaugural and passionate member. True to form, she was arranging the children’s artwork for this year’s show just days before she died.
