The Painkalac Valley Network held a Community Forum on 26th November in the Aireys Inlet Hall.
Sixty people enjoyed hearing updates from the ten member groups of the Network about the latest news about activities in the Painkalac Valley. This included:
- Hooded Plover breeding
- Survey about the Allen Noble Sanctuary and future plans
- Revegetation sites in the Valley
- Artificial estuary openings in 2024
- Faecal contamination of the Creek
- Fox and feral pest control
- Endangered species and ecosystems in the Mellors Swamp
Following the brief presentations, people could engage with representatives of all the groups who were spread around the hall, asking questions and signing up for updates.
Overall, it was a rewarding experience, blending enjoyment with valuable insights for everyone involved.
