Angair member and Thursday morning plant propagator Heather Leslie achieved a podium finish three times at the World Masters Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships in Spain last month.

Heather won gold in the Mass Start category which comprises a downhill race at fast speeds through winding turns in varying terrains. She was very happy to win silver in the middle distance event which was a ‘tough ride’. Her second silver medal came with the long distance event which she said was ‘so much fun’ even though she had to negotiate some ‘really tough and complex maps’ and saddle up for the sprint race the next day.
Heather is Angair’s representative on the Surf Coast Mountain Bike Club which devotes itself to preservation, maintenance and sustainability of the Surf Coast Trail Network.
