Angair Walk. Bellbrae – Spring Creek
We will meet at 9.30 am on the southern boundary of the Bellbrae Reserve, the entrance of which is just off School Road Bellbrae, to start our 2 ½-to-3 hour walk.
The Spring Creek Valley Ridgeline Trail (formerly the Great Ocean Road) sits on 9.2 hectares of public land that run parallel to the newer GOR. Near Christian College it becomes an informal track that ends at Duffields Road. We will only walk along the first section of the gently undulating trail, benefiting from the 70-metre elevation over the valley that offers great views of Spring Creek. On returning to Bellbrae Reserve, we will do a car shuffle to take us to the Ashmore Arts centre, off Grossmans Road. We will then walk down (some 70 metres descent along a mown grass track) to the valley floor to look at some great Yellow Gums and our regeneration of Spring Creek there thus far.
