Angair Walk Surviving in the Allen Noble Sanctuary

Meet at the Bunyip, Inlet Crescent, Aireys Inlet at 9.30 am.

Have you ever wondered about the plants growing in Allen Noble Sanctuary and how they survive in what can be a seasonally changing environment? As the water level continues to recede such an investigation is timely.

This month’s Angair Walk will provide members with an opportunity to identify many of the wetland plant species growing in the sanctuary and learn about their environmental survival skills, during both the wet and dry.

Such fascinating species as Tall Spike-sedge, Tall Rush, Running Marsh-flower, Austral Brooklime and others will reveal their secrets through close examination.
