Angair Walk: Ted’s track and extension
This track is a great place for indigenous plant lovers at any time. Walkers can do the main short return track in 20 minutes, but Angair members can take up to two hours in the peak spring flowering season. It may take us three hours, as we will continue up a gentle climb to a lookout over the forests towards the sea.
Messmates, our Stringybark, feature in this open woodland, plus Silver Banksia and a range of wattles. We may see Sweet Wattle in flower and forming a lovely contrast to different colours of our iconic Common Heath.
Teds Track extension has many different plants to the main track, such as Prickly Broom-heath.
After rain, fungi may well be the highlight with their diversity of forms and colours – so it could be a slow walk!
Those interested could take lunch and return by one of four possible loop walks.
