Angair walk

Last month’s Angair Walk was cancelled because a total fire ban had been declared. But it is a good season to examine the interesting plants of the Painkalac Estuary and discover their clever adaptations to the demanding estuarine environment. We’ll be looking for the plants mentioned in Kate Bulling’s Flora Notes and many more.

A relaxed walk will take us along a section of the Painkalac Creek then onto the beach before walking uphill to the Split Point Lighthouse, perhaps for a coffee at the café.

Wear suitable clothing, bring water and meet at the Aireys Inlet Community Hall car park.
