Tall Greenhood, Pterostylis melagramma, is appearing now along our bushland tracks and looks like it will have a good year.

Tall Greenhood
It can grow to 80 cm high with a number of leaves on the stem and up to 15 green flowers. The labellum has a central brown stripe compared with the rarer Green-striped Greenhood, P. chlorogramma, which has a green stripe, as the name describes. The flowering plants of both orchids lack a rosette while the non-flowering plants have a leafy rosette.
