Trim Greenhood, Pterostylis concinna, is a neat, slender orchid growing in large colonies and we were excited to find some in bud on the Angair Walk on 24 May.

Trim Greenhood
Its forked labellum can be seen at the opening of the flower and the lateral sepals stand upright above the hood. The rosettes of this greenhood are a bluish-green colour and smaller than the wavy-edged, brighter green rosettes of Nodding Greenhood, P. nutans, which can be seen now too. Trim Greenhood is uncommon locally but can be found in grassy woodlands.
