A group of Angair volunteers spent a morning last month at Anglesea Primary working with the students who propagated a cutting to look after and take home at the end of the year and plant at home. Students decorated their pots with some very creative designs.
They also planted a variety of plants in the garden in areas identified by Bill McKellar who has been involved with the garden since its creation in 2009.
The children were a delight, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and enquiring. Their energy and positivity rubbed off on us all even when we were tiring towards the morning’s end. A huge thank-you to the members who gave their time to pass on their knowledge to the next generation.
The school principal, Ross Dullard, called the morning’s work ‘an absolutely brilliant effort’.
‘I cannot speak highly enough of the relationship between Angair and Anglesea Primary School. The future is bright with so many future environmental leaders growing from this partnership.’
