After more than 13 years helping the Anglesea Primary School put the local environment on the curriculum Angair honorary life member Bill McKellar has decided to call it a day. He will continue to work with the Angair propagation team but has handed over the reins of organising educational events at the school.

Thanks BillBill’s association with the school began before it moved to a new site when he showed students how to propagate 3000 indigenous plants for the school grounds and organised a mass planting day in May 2011.

Every year, he and various Angair members, mainly from the propagation team, devised events in which students were involved as presenters of engaging and well-researched ‘lessons’ about local flora.

The Angair Education Committee members who have been helping with the events recently will take over responsibility for continuing the fruitful collaboration between Angair and the
school.
