The latest addition to Angair’s series of identification brochures has come just in time for the summer weather.

Rocky reefs cover

What’s that? — on the rocky reefs features 96 images of various creatures you can encounter on a beach walk. They include seaweeds with curious names like Neptune’s necklace or Dead man’s fingers to molluscs such as various chitons, the Owl limpet, Dog whelk and Striped conniwink, crustaceans, other invertebrates, fish and seabirds.

The brochure also includes safety tips for both rock ramblers and the precious inhabitants of the rocky reefs.

The images were provided by 14 photographers including the instigator of the brochure, Angair stalwart Neil Tucker. The brochure is an ideal waterproof companion for a wander over the coastal rocks and is available free from the Angair office (Monday and Thursday mornings) or online here.
