We had 22 people join us to enjoy the Beach to Bush Walk on 29 August 2015.
We started on the cliff tops at Sandy Gully Beach and walked to the secluded cove of Sunnymeade Beach. We then ascended to the cliff tops of Sunnymeade towards Urquharts Beach enjoying spectacular views of the ocean and wildflowers.

Crossing the GOR at Urquharts we continued north through dense bushland to Gilbert Street and Ted’s Track extension. We were given an excellent brief history by our knowledgeable Ross Murray & Joe Bolza about the cemetery where the remains of the burnt houses of Aireys Inlet where buried after the 1983 bush fires.
We then walked through a sea of Myrtle Wattle Acacia myrtifolia and other wildflowers.
After lunch we continued on Ted’s Track admiring the wildflowers and orchids.
A lovely day in great company.
