Moolap: With the closure of the aluminium smelter and rolling mill at Pt Henry and the former salt works no longer operating, the community and the government have an opportunity to work together and explore the possibilities for Moolap’s future. The State Government is preparing a draft Moolap Plan for the study area including any potential land use changes over the long term. A community survey has identified strong interest in environmental and conservation opportunities. Feedback will inform the preparation of the draft Moolap Plan.
