In collaboration with Regional Roads Victoria, ANGAIR is joining a working bee to remove Flax-leaf Broom on the corner of the Great Ocean Rd and Addiscott Rd Bellbrae, on Friday March 12.

Addiscott Rd runs south off the Great Ocean Rd just west of the nursery/cafe. We are meeting on site at 9.30 am.

The site contains a nice understorey of indigenous vegetation that has been invaded by a large community of Flax-leaf Broom, which is a weed of national significance. Some of the plants can be pulled out while larger ones will need to be cut and treated with Roundup.

This working bee is part of a Clean Up Australia Day event held in early March, focussing on improving the community’s environmental values. I think it is very important for ANGAIR to support this Regional Roads Victoria activity so that we can continue to foster good relationships.

RSVP and enquiries Peter 5263 3128.
