This month Rhonda Bunbury hosted our walk on her farm ‘Belongarhon’ near Bellbrae.
She took us on a relaxed stroll through her stand of bush where she has planted and weeded to create a very natural bush setting. It has been very dry and it was a hot day so the birds were elusive.
We saw 25 species with Grey Fantails being the most dominant. There was a good range of honeyeaters including white-naped, yellow-faced, white-plumed and white-eared. Highlights, apart from the tranquil setting and relaxed stroll, were a female Rufous Whistler and a glimpse of a female Mistletoebird.

For the April bird walk we will drive to a private property at the end of Hurst Road to record the birds present.
